why sell?

You have kids. Kids grow (sometimes, too quickly!). However, their toys and clothes stay the same sizes. Why not bring those items that your kids have outgrown to shoptot for another family to love? You’ll be giving your gently used children’s toys, clothes, and furniture a new life while making 60% on each item sold.

The money you earn as a consignor at a shoptot pop-up sale is paid via check by the end of the following week for almost instant gratification.

There is an $8.00 consignor registration fee, due at time of registration. There is no limit to the quantity of items you may consign!

WHAT TO SELL?

If your family loved it, so will someone else's. Items accepted:

  • Any item for newborns to 12 year olds (Good, clean condition)

  • Children’s clothing (seasonally appropriate winter) Sizes newborn - BIG KID (12/14)

  • children's shoes

  • TOYS FOR INFANTS TO PRE-TEENS

  • high chairs, swings, strollers, doll houses, scooters, bikes

  • Books, puzzles, games, DVDs

  • sports gear

  • kids' Accessories, Boppies, playmats

  • Nursery/Children’s Furniture AND DECOR

items we cannot accept:

  • dirty or stained clothing; clothing missing buttons or zippers

  • any type of car seat

  • CRIBS MANUFACTURED BEFORE 2011

  • TOYS OR GAMES MISSING PIECES/NON-FUNCTIONING PARTS

  • TOYS WITHOUT ALL PIECES VISIBLE (PLASTIC BAGS ARE GREAT FOR THIS)

  • STUFFED ANIMALS THAT ARE NOT LICENSED CHARACTERS (FOR EXAMPLE, DISNEY)

  • ITEMS MISSING BATTERIES (IF THE ITEM REQUIRES BATTERIES TO WORK, BATTERIES MUST BE INCLUDED).

Pricing

You may price your items however you’d like. A few quick tips:

  • Consignment sale items typically sell for 25% - 30% of retail value

  • Other consignors may have the same or similar items (hey, you have great taste!), so keep in mind that you want your items priced competitively.

Sunday: The final day of our sale is always “half-price day.” You have the option to have your items marked down 50% from your initial cost when you create your tags. We would suggest discounting for the last day as shoppers may return specifically for the sale items. Choose this option when registering your items and the discount will automatically be taken for Sunday shoppers.

  •  Items must be clean and in working condition, with all necessary parts and pieces. Shoptot reserves the right to double check items before being placed on sale floor.

  • You want your items to sell themselves – you may consider ironing or steaming

  • All clothing must be on hangers; have clothing organized by size at drop-off.

  • Through the registration site, you will print price tags for all items. Please ensure they are printed with barcode visible.

  • For clothing and soft items, we recommend using safety pins to adhere and secure tags.

  • For harder items/items in boxes, you may tape the tag directly to the item. clear tape is fine over the bar code.

  • For multiple piece items (puzzles, toys with extra parts), we recommend a Ziploc bag with tag taped to the outside.

  • All item pieces should be easily visible to shoppers.

EASY STEPS

1. register for a consignor number and select a drop-off appointment.

2. Price and prep your items, then enter into the system.

3. Print Tags and pin or tape (securely) to your items.

4. drop- off items at the sale during your appointment slot.

5. shop the sale!

6. Pick up unsold items OR donate to charity (if you have any unsold!)

7. Cash your check! Checks will be mailed the week following the sale.
